Took my Jeep in because it was shaking, when at a stop. They diagnosed it and said it was the passenger motor mount. 650 to replace it!! When I picked it up, I didn't even leave their parking lot because I can still feel it shaking! They pulled it in and checked it again, telling me it's the other 3 motor mounts (950)! If I would have known, I would have never spent 650 on one! The owner tells me that it's how cars are! WOW! If your mechanic wasn't lazy and would thoroughly check all motor mounts! It only took him less than 30 mins to check and tell me the other 3 was bad. Why wasn't that done in the first diagnosed??!!?! This is very unacceptable!! I ended up taking my car to a real mechanic! Got all my 3 motor mounts fixed with half the price they wanted to charge me!!! Never again will I go to this place!
Vasna, thank you for your review. However, I would like to respond. You brought your vehicle in for emissions testing and a complementary inspection. During the inspection our tech noted the front hydraulic motor mount was broken as we reported to you. We replaced the motor mount as agreed upon. When you came to pick up the vehicle I told you the Jeep still had a vibration and that there could be other motor mounts broken. Our complementary 37 point inspection does not include checking all motor mounts. That is why all motor mounts were not inspected. The front motor mount that was broken is exposed and visually accessible during the 37 point inspection. At your request we reinspected at no charge the other three motor mounts and determined all three should be replaced and quoted you a price. You elected to not have us replace the motor mounts. I am happy that you were able to have them replaced at half price.
